Tax Preparation Services

A Tax Preparer is responsible for submitting tax forms on behalf of clients. Their duties include interviewing clients about their income and expenses. They also audit account details and act as a liaison between clients and the IRS.

Individual Taxes

An individual tax return is an official form that a person or a married couple submits to a federal, state, or local taxing agency to report all taxable income received during a specific period, usually the previous year. This record is used to assess the amount of tax that is due or was overpaid for that period.

Corporations

A corporation pays income tax by filing a corporate tax return on Form 1120 and paying the taxes as indicated by this return. Its owners don’t pay the taxes for the corporation, unlike “pass-through” business entities that trickle income and deductions down to their owners and shareholders…

Sole Proprietorship

The term self-employment tax refers to taxes self-employed individuals and small business owners pay to the federal government to fund Medicare and Social Security. The self-employment tax is similar to FICA taxes that are paid by an employer. It is due when an individual has net earnings of $400 or more…

Partnerships

A partnership must file an annual information return to report the income, deductions, gains, losses, etc., from its operations, but it does not pay income tax. Instead, it “passes through” profits or losses to its partners. Each partner reports their share of the partnership’s income or loss on their personal tax return.

Amended Returns

What is an amended return? The phrase amended return refers to changes made to a tax return from prior years. If you made a mistake on your tax return, filing an amended return with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) corrects the errors.

Late Filing

File all tax returns that are due, regardless of whether or not you can pay in full. File your past due return the same way and to the same location where you would file an on-time return. If you have received a notice, make sure to send your past due return…

Obtain ITIN Number

An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is a tax processing number issued by the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS issues ITINs to individuals who are required to have a U.S. taxpayer identification number but who do not have, and are not eligible to obtain, a Social Security number (SSN) from the Social Security Administration (SSA).

ITIN Number Renewal

Renew your ITIN if necessary. If you do not renew an expiring or expired ITIN, the IRS can still accept your tax return, but it may delay processing it, which can impact when you get your tax refund. Expiration can also delay tax credits owed to you, such as the Child Tax Credit and the American Opportunity Tax Credit.
